Yogurt Waffles

Here is the recipe that is sure to have your children licking their plates clean at breakfast.  It is a result of limited ingredients and inspired by Alton Brown's simple waffle.

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup whole-wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 8 oz of your favorite flavor of yogurt (we enjoyed both blueberry and strawberry)
Mix well and ladle into a waffle iron.  Viola!  Yummy!  Freeze any leftover waffles for a perfect quick snack.
